Angela Moreira

Angela, a native of Brazil, is a 200 hr Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga teacher as well as a Yoga Alliance Registered Prenatal Yoga teacher. She enjoys teaching pre/postnatal yoga, Hatha and gentle Vinyasa flow as well as Yin/Restorative practices infused with meditation. She completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2010 at MBZ and in 2016 a new horizon opened in her path and she completed her Prenatal Yoga training with renowned Jane Austin founder of Mama Tree in San francisco. She studied with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli founder of Womb Yoga; a therapeutic approach to yoga specially developed to support women’s health and healing during pregnancy, postnatal and menopause.

Angela has advanced Restorative Yoga training with the famous Judith Laster. The stilling and quieting effects of Restorative yoga led her to travel to Kopan Monastery in Kathmandu Valley, Nepal. The Kopan Monastery is steeped in deep spiritual practices based in the Buddhist tradition. During her time in Kopan she followed a life of introspection and meditation. This experience of profound meditation brought her to study with Sarah Powers whose teaching method is one of the precursors of Yin Yoga and interweaves yoga teachings with Buddhism, psychology and other traditions.

She feels very blessed to be a part of the yoga community and deeply believes the yoga journey is a self-transformational path toward healing. In her practices she honors the profound truth she has experienced along her journey.
